Ministry Lead
Leland Stephens
Leland is a self-proclaimed Bible-nerd who is passionate about seeing the unchurched find Jesus and His community of people; about helping hurting/broken people and relationships find healing and restoration; about helping those who have been hurt by abusive churches find Jesus’ true community; and helping people who are deconstructing their faith find their way back to truth that can be trusted. And perhaps above all, he is passionate about equipping people who love Jesus to live out His Kingdom vision in the midst of a broken and hurting world!
Our Journey
Our journey has looked different from many we see around us today, but in many ways, it has looked very similar to the stories we find in Scripture. When I read the Acts of the Apostles, I’m reminded that the early believers rarely walked predictable, comfortable roads. Their paths were marked by unexpected turns, deep surrender, courage in the face of opposition, and an unwavering trust that God was directing every step. The book of Acts shows us that faithfulness does not always lead to ease. It often leads to stretching, refining, and dependence. Doors open and close. Plans change. Opposition comes. Yet through it all, the Lord faithfully guides those who place their lives before Him. Our path hasn’t followed a neat or conventional pattern. It has included movement, sacrifice, and seasons that required us to trust when we couldn’t see the outcome. But Scripture reminds us that different does not mean wrong. Hard does not mean outside of God’s will. And opposition does not mean abandonment. When we lay our journey before the Lord, our plans, our fears, our hopes, He promises to direct our steps. He straightens what feels uncertain. He redeems what feels difficult. And He uses every chapter for His glory and our growth. The road may not look like everyone else’s, but if it is surrendered to Him, it is exactly where we are meant to be.
The opposite of faith isn’t doubt, it’s clarity. (1 Cor 13:12, 2 Cor. 5:7)
Latest from Our Journey…

UK Vision Trip – Feb. 2026
In February of 2026, we had the incredible opportunity to take a vision trip to an area north of London in the United Kingdom, near a military base. Our hearts were seeking clarity as we prayerfully explored whether the Lord might be leading us back overseas into military ministry, or perhaps into a new avenue of service we hadn’t yet imagined. While the trip did not provide a definitive answer or reveal a specific next step, it offered
invaluable insight and added important pieces to our discernment process. During our time there, we had the privilege of meeting and spending time with several remarkable individuals who are actively serving in ministry in that region. Their generosity in sharing their experiences, challenges, and successes gave us a clearer picture of the spiritual landscape and the types of ministries already taking place. Beyond the practical knowledge, we were deeply encouraged by their hospitality, wisdom, and the warmth with which they welcomed us into their communities. The trip also allowed us to see firsthand the opportunities and needs that exist in that area. We observed how God is at work in unique ways, touching lives and building His kingdom even in places that may feel overlooked or challenging. While we left without a complete roadmap, we returned with hearts full of gratitude and renewed faith, confident that the Lord is guiding each step of the process. The experience reminded us that discernment is often a journey, not a single moment, and that God continues to meet us, provide clarity in His timing, and prepare both us and the places He is calling us to serve. The vision trip was more than a step toward understanding our next ministry opportunity; it was a profound reminder that God’s work is already underway, and He graciously invites us to join Him wherever He leads.
